Assam Police Recruitment 2025 – Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria
*The applicant must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.
*After the Final Select List is released, selected candidates must submit valid proof of residence. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC/MOBC categories do not need to submit this certificate.
*The applicant must have their name registered in any Employment Exchange of Assam.
*The applicant should be able to speak Assamese or any other recognized language of the state fluently.

*A Sub Inspector (UB) & Sub Inspector of Police (Communication)Age should be 20 to 26 years as of 01-01-2026Candidates must be born between 01-01-2000 and 01-01-2006 (both dates inclusive)

E The age of the Applicants will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation/HSLC Admit Card/HSLC Passed Certificate issued by a recognized Board/Council. No other document shall be accepted in lieu thereof for this purpose.
F Any other document relating to age such as Horoscope, Affidavit, Birth Extract from Municipal Corporation, Health Department, Service Record etc. will NOT be accepted.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Applicant must be a graduate in Arts/Science/Commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized College/Institution affiliated to a recognized University.
B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics from a recognized College/Institution affiliated to a recognized University.
B.Sc. (Electronics Science/ IT/ Computer Science) (10+2+3 duration)

Measuring not less than 81 cm when deflated.
A Applicant must be in good mental and bodily health. They must be free from any physical deformities and free from diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, hernia, piles, respiratory diseases, knock-knee, flat foot or any other physical deformity that is likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties. Applicants should not be colour blind or be squint eyed.
B Eye Sight: The distance vision should be 6/6 for at least one eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other without correction. Near vision should be normal.
C Varicose vein shall be considered as temporary disqualification.
A Weight (for Male & Female Applicants): proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.
B Applicants must be of sound health both mentally and physically, and free from organic defect or bodily infirmity likely to interfere with the efficient discharge of his/her duties.
HOW TO APPLY:
Instructions for Registration and Application Submission
- Applicants must register in the application portal only once for all Advertisements. Candidature will be cancelled if an applicant generates multiple Application IDs using different mobile numbers.
- Applicants must register with their name exactly as per the HSLC Certificate. Father's name and Mother's name must also be entered correctly.

Applicants must register using a valid mobile number and provide the following information
accurately:
- Employment Exchange Number
- Highest Qualification Details
- Permanent District
- Gender
- Caste/Category
- Date of Birth
- Aadhaar Number
- After successful registration, an Application ID will be generated. Keep this ID safe for future reference.
Applicants can log in to the Portal using their Application ID or Registered Mobile Number along with Date of Birth. Applicants are advised to keep the mobile number active and unchanged until the recruitment process is over.
After login, Applicants must follow the below mentioned steps:
- Apply for the relevant Advertisement.
- Upload necessary documents.
- Select post preferences (if applicable).
- Fill in personal details, upload a photograph, signature, and required Certificates.
- Enter academic details carefully.
- Generate OTP and download the Acknowledgement Slip.
