RRB Group D Selection Process 2026
The selection is conducted in four major stages. Candidates must clear each stage to move to the next.
1) Computer Based Test (CBT): The primary screening round. It tests General Science, Mathematics, Reasoning, and Current Affairs.
2) Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who pass the CBT are called for PET.
- Male: Carry 35kg for 100m in 2 mins + Run 1000m in 4 mins 15 secs.
- Female: Carry 20kg for 100m in 2 mins + Run 1000m in 5 mins 40 secs.
3) Document Verification (DV): Original certificates are verified for eligibility.
4) Medical Examination: Candidates undergo a medical fitness test to ensure they meet the specific standards for their assigned post.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: 10th Pass (High School) from a recognized board. (For some technical roles, ITI might be required).
- Age Limit: 18 to 33 years (Age relaxation as per govt rules: +3 years for OBC, +5 years for SC/ST).
- Aadhaar: Aadhaar-based authentication is mandatory during the application and exam.
