SSC JE Recruitment Selection Process

The SSC JE 2026 selection process is primarily based on performance in the Computer-Based Examinations, followed by the applicable post-allocation and verification requirements.

The minimum qualifying marks specified by SSC are:
  • UR: 30%
  • OBC/EWS: 25%
  • All other categories: 20%
For final selection, Paper-II marks are used for determining merit, along with the candidate's post/department preferences and fulfilment of applicable eligibility requirements.

Candidates should therefore take post preferences seriously because submitted preferences are treated as final and cannot normally be changed later.
