Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Forester Grade-I: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Sub-Officer & Constable (WO/WT): H.S. (Science) passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
- Fireman & Emergency Rescuer: H.S. (Science) passed.
- Forest Guard, Game Watcher & Constable (UB): H.S. (10+2) or equivalent passed.
- AFPF Constable, Constable (Grade-III), Bandman, Bugler & Boatman: HSLC (Class 10) or equivalent passed.
- Note: Constable (Grade-III), Bandman, and Bugler roles (except for Ex-Servicemen) require a Home Guard Certificate or Minimum NCC 'A' Certificate.
Age Limit (as of 01-01-2026)
- Sub-Officer: 20 to 24 years.
- Forester Grade-I, Forest Guard, Game Watcher, Constable (Grade-III), Bandman, Bugler: 18 to 40 years.
- AFPF Constable, Constable (WO/WT), Constable (UB), Fireman, Emergency Rescuer, Boatman: 18 to 25 years.
- Relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC/MOBC, and additional relaxations for Ex-Servicemen and Trained Home Guards as per rules.
Other Requirements
- Must be a Citizen of India and a Permanent Resident of Assam.
- Must be registered with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
- Must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
Selection Process
The recruitment involves multiple phases to ensure a fair selection:
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Includes a race (3200m for males, 1600m for females) and a long jump. This phase carries 40 marks.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Height and chest measurements (no marks awarded).
- Written Test: 100 multiple-choice questions.
- For Forester Grade-I: 100 marks (1 mark per question, 0.5 negative marking).
- For other posts: 50 marks (0.5 marks per question, no negative marking).
6. Additional Tests: Trade Proficiency Test (Bandman/Bugler) and Swimming/Boating Test (Boatman).
